Job and Business Fair 2017 promises close to 15,000 jobs up for grabs today, May 1, 2017, at the Limketkai Mall Atrium for their 115th Labor Day Celebration. This is a region-wide job and business fair to replicate Trabaho, Negosyo, Kabuhayan (TNK) concept forged by DOLE and DTI which aims to bring employment opportunities.
JOB FAIR Schedule – 10:00am – 5:00pm Atrium, Limketkai Mall – but will be open to registrants as early as 7:30AM.
BUSINESS FAIR Schedule – 9:30am – 5:00pm Grand Ballroom, Grand Caprice Restaurant, Limketkai Center.
Out of the total, around 5000+/- CONFIRMED job vacancies will be available for local employment, 655 job vacancies available in the government, and around 131 participating companies and government agencies.
Meanwhile, 8000+/- CONFIRMED job vacancies will be available for overseas employment from 26 Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA) accredited recruitment agencies.
Top local job vacancies are Call Center Agents, Property Consultants, Staff Nurses, Field Construction Officers, Sales Associates, and from the Construction Industry.
Top overseas vacancies are Nurses, Service Crew, Food Server/Waiter, Cleaner, and Caregiver.

Today, DOLE will be joined by members of the Regional Coordinating Council (RCC) – Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA), National Reintegration Center for OFWs (NRCO), National Conciliation Mediation Board (NCMB), National Labor Relations Commission (NLRC), Regional Tripartie Wages and Productivity Board (RWTPB), Employees Compensation Commission (ECC), Occupational Safety and Health Center (OSHC), Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA), Professional Regulation Commission (PRC), and POEA.
I was able to witness the MOA Signing of the participating government agencies and establishments for this project. It was also stated during the open forum that the REPUBLIC ACT No. 10911 otherwise known as the “ANTI-AGE DISCRIMINATION IN EMPLOYMENT ACT” has been strongly imposed to the participating businesses and government agencies in this fair.
