Safety Specialist
The Safety Specialist assists the Safety Manager in overseeing the activities of a particular workplace, to make sure that employees and port users comply with the Terminal’s Health, Safety, Security, and Environment (HSSE) programs and policies.
Candidate must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Science/Engineering/Nursing. Undergone the Basic Occupational Safety and Health Training is a huge plus.
At least 2 years (s) of work experience in a similar role.
Has a strong tolerance to pressure, detail-oriented ability to multi-task, and can meet deadlines.
Proficient in the use of basic applications in a Windows-based environment, including Outlook, Word, and Excel. Moderate keyboard skills at 40 WPM and 80% accuracy.
Excellent customer experience and problem-solving skills.
Effective English communication skills, both oral and written. Can speak the local dialect and/or Filipino.
Action orientated. Should be able to follow up on feedback to ensure positive outcomes.
Knowledge and skill of modern office practices, procedures, equipment, and standard clerical techniques.
A warm and caring disposition.
Port Facility Security Officer (PFSO)
– Security Supervisor
The PFSO acts as a lead for security, including security guards on duty; ensures that the security policy is followed rigorously by all: employees, visitors, vendors, contractors, vessel, and ships crews.
– Candidate must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminology or a related field.
– Must have a general understanding of preventative security measures for buildings and especially port facilities.
– At least 3 years (s) of work experience in a similar role.
– Must have an understanding of security procedures for buildings and perimeter security and access control. Requires an understanding of emergency response procedures and the ability to carry them out.
– Proficient in the use of basic applications in a Windows-based environment, including Outlook, Word, and Excel. Moderate keyboard skills at 40 WPM and 80% accuracy.
– Excellent customer experience and problem-solving skills.
