Becoming a Real Estate Broker in Nevada

One career path that you can choose to pursue is that of a real estate broker. As many successful brokers will attest to, it can be a highly lucrative and rewarding experience to be in the field of real estate. Keep in mind however, that becoming a broker isn’t exactly a walk in the park.

Among my contemporaries who have become brokers, they say the toughest part is the first stage, when you need to take qualifying exams and be evaluated for a license. They say this is even easy compared to what others have to go through abroad.

At least two of my friends who have made it to Nevada say the requirements are stringent. You can opt to become a salesperson if you complete the required real estate course and pass the licensing exam. This however will only allow you to work under a broker.

If you want to take a higher step and become a broker salesperson, you’d have to pass the salesperson requirements, pass the broker examinations and have some experience. This will let you practice with the supervision of a broker.

To become a full fledged broker is even more challenging. You’d have to go through higher level education and licensing steps. To pass all these, aspiring brokers would do well to take real estate license Nevada courses.

I’d say you’d still be in an easy spot if you want to become a broker in our city. Although you’d have to prepare for exams and evaluations too, the requirements aren’t as high as in other cities and states.
