I am a professional applicant. Meron bang ganon?
I’ve applied for so many jobs that I’ve stopped having nosebleeds every time I take pre-employment tests. I’ve been to so many interviews that I’ve stopped stalling like a Miss Universe candidate with a fake smile looking for the answer that will give me the crown and not the worthless runner-up sash. I’ve been to so many companies in so many years that my interview clothes have gone out of fashion and my interview shoes have lost their soles. I’ve been to every company in between the small donut shop in CDO’s divisoria to the gleaming new company by the sea in Tagoloan. This is what it means to be a professional applicant.
Some say I’ve been too picky, but really, how can I work for a manager who talks about s*x on a job interview, an executive who asks me to cooperate with evading labor laws and a business owner who demands that I pretend to be pretty on duty? Kulang nalang nay magpa demonstrate sa akong skills sa pagtimpla sa kape o sa pole dancing ba kaha. Sure, others have accepted jobs under similar circumstances but I just can’t. So call me sosyal if you want but I want a good job with a great boss and fair pay.
It’s been years and the job I’ve been looking for is nowhere in sight. I must either be really unlucky or too ugly for consideration but I haven’t lost hope. I’ll fulfill my dream someday (when pigs fly and Pacman is president) and while waiting for that time, I’ll be standing by here, writing about my escapades as a professional applicant. sweetheart, maybe now your idealism is so high but in the real world good job+great boss+fair pay its a bit endangered :) ako pa nimo simplify your ideals and gain plenty experience para you'll have options. you will realize later that not so tamili sa trabaho pay back and you'll be rewarded in time. friendly advice, just have patience and have more and buy more patience...

I just thought of this now Shobe. I guess it is good advice not to be "tamili" but it certainly is not acceptable to work for a boss who makes s**ual innuendos or one who asks you to step on the rights of other people. Deciding to work for the former is not a safe decision while opting to work for the latter is a blatant disregard of what is morally right.

the bottom line in what she's writing is the phils is a mess country..thats ok friend, its your right to have a minimum pay, it's your right also to look for a better job, and a great boss not a maniac boss who's asking for are you good in bed? if you're then you're hired...ok ranang mamili, why si shobe, mo salom ug septic tank para maka kwarta? ok lang siguro ug canal pa limpyohon, but never in a septic tank..maayo pa ang mamunit ug basura..ok ranang uban nga work friend, kay the more ka nga naay work naay experience, pareha nku, bad shot pareha nimu kay lisod work, bsan grad ko ug college, bsan janitor banggaon lang nku para makawork..

I wonder lisud jud manarbaho bsan college grad ka.. I think diskarte na lang jud ta ane.. we were just like the same finding a good job and fair pay, unfortunately i can,t find.. and also it added the overburden of the dislikes of my course .. I don't want to be an electrician but how did I end up with this,? probably just following my friend and the wants to have a degree... This makes me think to apply in other country even if it is not related to my job.. coz i'm already suffering to much here in cdo.. gusto na rba unta na ko mag ka family pero walay kwarta..
Butch diskarte gyud... ug makatabang pud unta na nakakuha kag course na gusto nimo. Lesson learned, pag naa na gyud ka kids, make sure you encourage them to develop interests in something

i am 38 years old and i just got hired by one of the biggest company here in misamis oriental.I did not expect that i would be hired becuase of my age.
ayaw kabalaka, try and try lang with prayers of course until you will be hired.

well you want work so its part of the process the interview on which you have to answer politely.. in short gedawat onta nimo ang work dayun kong gepabuhat nakag trabaho or action nga labag sa imo self , then thats the time you have to me.. well ako nag apply before sa isa ka company sa promotor sa alcohol ug banda.. you know i took an exam there 6 hour, inteview 4 hours to wait and ended up nothing.. well now comes a company .. I applied on line.. easy come easy go.. ana tingali ang work.. pero na by pass ko. wala exam .wala interview . on that day, they said my course was in demand then the BOSS said work starting tommorow.. in ana ang work kadali makuha pag skilled podka ug in demand ang kurso..
hay grabe! sobra na jud kalisud karun panahona mangita ug work. bisag ako ive consider myself as an professional applicant. ako since 2004 pa ko ngita work diri sa local after my graduation unya ingun sila daghan daw work pero wala sila kabalo mas daghan ang aplikante ug kaluoy sa ginoo sa gawas pa tawon ko kakita ug work kaysa akong nasod na diri na ko nidako ug gipanganak. mas giuna pa tawon sa atong gobyerno ug gitagaan importansya ang mga tagalain nasud mga foreigner kaysa kita ilang mga kababayan.
ug ang pinakasakit sa tanan ang diskriminasyon tawon sa among mga muslim nga wala man tood nila ginaingon pero xmpre amo pud tawon nga mabati ky tawo lng man pud mi sama kaninyo.

me too im 24 and im still looking for a job... i have experience na we were 3 friends na na apply ug work sa isa ka mall then we do have the same course but out of no where i was so confident na ma hire ko because the interview went well but then i was not...but my other 2 friends got hired.... huhuhu... grabi jud ako wonder ngano sila nakuha ako wala...
