CAD Draftsman
Summary of Position: Operates Computer Aided Design (CAD) computer system, including creating, modifying and rendering kitchen and cabinet designs.
Organizational Relationships
Reports to: Sales Manager; however, may receive work from Sales Consultants, Production Manager and Supervisor.
Essential Duties
• Creates CAD and Sketch up drawings for projects.
• Renders designs in V-Ray
• Do on-site Measurement surveys prior to creating CAD drawings.
• Creates CAD drawings for production.
• Greets customers and the general public in person and on telephone, answers questions and directs to appropriate individual when necessary.
• May assist in accommodating walk-in customers when necessary.
• Performs other related duties, as assigned.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Knowledge of: CAD, Sketch Up and V-Ray
Skill/Ability to: demonstrate proficiency in both oral and written communication; read and interpret construction drawings; prepare accurate detailed drawings for production; operate computer using standard drafting software packages, plotters; maintain complete, readily accessible files and records of survey office reports; and establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and outside survey .
Acceptable Experience and Training
Associate’s degree or completion of a technical school in CAD, drafting or related field,
