Position: DESIGN ENGINEER – SCADA Hardware Specialist
(Distribution Planning & Development Department)
Qualifications:
- Registered Electrical Engineer
- Experience in substation Gateway/RTU & Intelligent Electronic Devices (IEDs) Configuration
- Experience in electrical utility control systems
- Demonstrated experience of communication protocols (DNP, MODBUS, IEC 61850, etc.)
- Demonstrated experience with Windows & UNIX/Linux OS
- Demonstrated experience using MS Word, Excel, Power Point, Access, Visio & Project
Responsibilities:
- The implementation of substation and distribution automation projects
- The management and maintenance of critical SCADA computer systems, monitors SCADA computers and network for faults; troubleshoots and correct faults
- The development and modification of SCADA system procedures, documentation, and checklists for the internal use
- Serves as technical resource to management, staff and customers on SCADA systems
- Stays current on technology associated with SCADA systems & providing 24/7 callout support for SCADA – related applications
