1. TRANSMISSION & DISTRIBUTION LINE CLEARING INSPECTORS
(LINE MAINTENANCE DEPARTMENT)
Qualifications:
• College graduate; any 4 year course preferably Forestry graduates or with Electrical Technology background
• At least 2 years’ experience on any public related functions.
• Possess professional Driver’s License for a 4-whell vehicle and Computer literate
Work assignments:
• Conduct field surveys to chart vegetation location
• Measure vegetation distance with respect to T & D lines
• Provide data to programmers for the development of a Map-based Vegetation Management program.
2. (1) INTERNAL AUDITOR
(Internal Audit Group)
Qualifications:
• College graduate with degree in Industrial Engineering
• With experience in process and procedure analysis and formulation, information analysis, system analysis and design.
• Possess the following knowledge and skills: Analytical Skills; Basic Statistics; Benefit-Cost Analysis; Basics on Data and Information Analysis and Data Structures; Basic Database Design (esp. on Relational Database Concepts); Procedures Analysis and Formulation; Risk Analysis and Management; Project Scheduling and Monitoring (software); Change Management; Electric Utility Operations; Communication Skills
Work assignments:
• Evaluates business processes, identifies problem areas and inefficiencies, recommends process enhancements
• Plans out projects in accordance with corporate objectives, monitors projects’ progress to ensure that processes are aligned to business plans
• Participates in defining factors and formulating evaluation matrix for project proposals
• Participates in formulation and dissemination of IT policies and guidelines and regularly monitors their effectiveness
3. ICTSD FIELD INSPECTORS
(Information & Communication Technology Services Department)
Qualifications:
• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering graduate
• Professional Driver’s License R12
Functions include:
• Field survey of installed line facilities, materials, and equipment;
• Verification & recording of geographic location coordinates of major facilities & customers;
• Involvement in the review & enhancement of procedures for facilities data capture & file update.
4. POWER QUALITY TECHNICIANS
(SYSTEM OPERATIONS DEPARTMENT)
Qualifications:
• A graduate of BSEE / Electrical Engineering Technology (or equivalent course), holder of Registered Master Electrician
• At least 6 months employment in an electric distribution utility or other equivalent experience.
• Driving Skills (Restrictions 1 and 2)
Functions include:
• Conduct Power Quality monitoring and Load Profiling in compliance with the requirements of the ERC.
• Provide support to Transformer Load Management (TLM) Crew in the load monitoring, installation and removal of distribution transformers.
• Actively involved in the implementation of projects participated by the Distribution Compliance Section (DCS); such as, Non-technical Loss Reduction project and others.
5. EQUIPMENT TECHNICIANS
(SYSTEM OPERATIONS DEPARTMENT)
Qualifications:
• Graduate in BS Electrical Engineering
• Professional Driver’s License R12
• Knowledge in electrical engineering theories/practices with emphasis on power equipment maintenance
Functions include:
• Conducts preventive maintenance, testing, calibration, repair & recording and/or monitoring of T&D equipment
• To ensure the reliability of T&D equipment installed in the system.
• Conducts required preventive maintenance, testing & repairs T&D facilities contracted by CEPALCO’s External Services Group.
6. LINEMEN
(Customer Services Department)
Qualifications:
• Graduate in BS Electrical Engineering or Electrical Technology graduate
• Professional Driver’s License R12
Work assignments:
• Attend and resolve all primary, secondary and service line related power supply problems, request and complaints;
• Respond to emergency assistance call concerning power supply problem.
• Responsible for all service connections installations, maintenance and repair
• assist in the conduct of power restoration of faulted distribution lines and equipment
7. DESIGN ENGINEER-SMART GRID ENGINEER
(Distribution Planning & Development Department)
Qualifications:
• Registered Electrical Engineer
• Must have experience in Electric Distribution, Substation & Distribution automation.
Work assignments:
• Conduct preliminary engineering studies and researches relative to transmission and distribution materials improvement to enhance operational efficiency
• Research & development to ensure supply adequacy and to improve reliability of distribution lines
• Development of detailed implementation plans of the company’s major distribution system or special projects
• Act as “Quality Control” engineer of completed major distribution system or special projects
8. COLLECTION CLERK
(Cash & Collection Department)
Qualifications:
• Graduate of Business related or Engineering related courses
• At least one (1) year exposure in tellering / collection and other related functions
• Possess the following knowledge and skills:
Human Relations; Communication Skills;
Computer literacy; and customer oriented.
Work assignments:
• Posting of daily collections from authorized collecting banks.
• Attends to voluminous requirement in the generation
• Feedbacking of accomplished Disconnection Notices and Job Orders for Disconnection, reconnection and meter removal.
• Prepare demand letters and related documents to be served to delinquent and/or disconnected customers.
9. SERVICE INSPECTOR
(Billing Services Department)
Qualifications:
• Graduate in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Technology
• At least one (1) year experience in field inspection & handling of customer accounts
• Professional Driver’s License R1
Work assignments:
• Conduct field inspection and verification on accounts
• Prepare and submit Daily Accomplishment Report
• Advise inspection findings
• Attend to customer’s billing issues & queries
10. DIFFERENTIAL BILLING STAFF
(Billing Services Department)
Qualifications:
• Graduate in Electrical Engineering
• Professional Driver’s License R12
Work assignments:
• Assist in the meter replacement, apprehension of pilferage cases & correction of service lines
• Perform clerical & field works related to Differential Billing Section activities.
11. METER LAB/EQUIPMENT REPAIR TECHNICIANS
(Technical Services Department)
Qualifications:
• Graduate in Electrical Technology
Work assignments:
• Responsible in the conduct of testing, calibration, repair and sealing of all types of new and recovered kilowatt-hour meters
• Conducts preventive maintenance, testing, calibration, repair & recording and/or monitoring of T&D equipment
12. DSD COLLECTION INSPECTOR
(District Services Department – Tagoloan Office)
Qualifications:
• Graduate in Electrical Engineering
• Professional Driver’s License R12
Work assignments:
• Conduct inspection and audit on the contracted agency’s adherence to the defined quality standards of the company in their conduct of delivery of Disconnection notices, disconnection of meters and meter removal works.
• Responsible in checking and field verification of disconnected customers with unpaid accounts for legal filing
• Verification of unsettled/unpaid accounts of those applicants for new connections.
13. CSD RECEIVING STAFF
(Customer Services Department)
Qualifications:
• Graduate of any four-year course
• At least (1) year exposure in a power utility or other service oriented company, specifically in handling customer service
Work assignments:
• Responsible in attending customer queries or may accommodate service requests
• Filing of CSD documents, encoding and printing of dispatched Job Orders
• Feedbacking of accomplished Job Orders, preparation of fuel requisition and other related function.
14. SUBSTATION OPERATIONS & MAINTENANCE ENGINEER
(Technical Services Department)
Qualifications:
• Registered Electrical Engineer
• At least 1 year related experience
• Professional Driver’s License R12
Work assignments:
• To supervise the daily monitoring & reliable operations of power substations;
• Takes charge in the immediate restoration of power in times of emergency;
• Conducts manual switching operations of circuit breakers, switches and other equipment in the substation when there is SCADA failure;
• Responsible in conducting substation trouble-shooting & maintenance works
