JOB OPENINGS

1. (2) SUBSTATION OPERATIONS & MAINTENANCE ENGINEER
Qualifications:

• Registered Electrical Engineer
• With experience in electrical utility company related to distribution system
• Professional Driver’s License R12

Functions include:

• To supervise the daily monitoring & reliable operations of power substations;
• Takes charge in the immediate restoration of power in times of emergency;
• Conducts manual switching operations of circuit breakers, switches and other equipment in the substation when there is SCADA failure;
• Responsible in conducting substation trouble-shooting & maintenance works

2. (7) ICTSD FIELD INSPECTOR

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering graduate
• Preferably Registered Electrical Engineer
• Professional Driver’s License R12

Functions include:

• Field survey of installed line facilities, materials, and equipment;
• Verification & recording of geographic location coordinates of major facilities & customers;
• Involvement in the review & enhancement of procedures for facilities data capture & file update.

3. POWER QUALITY TECHNICIAN

Qualifications:

• A graduate of BSEE / Electrical Engineering Technology (or equivalent course), holder of Registered Master Electrician
• At least 6 months employment in an electric distribution utility or other equivalent experience.
• Driving Skills (Restrictions 1 and 2)

Functions include:

• Conduct Power Quality monitoring and Load Profiling in compliance with the requirements of the ERC.
• Provide support to Transformer Load Management (TLM) Crew in the load monitoring, installation and removal of distribution transformers.
• Actively involved in the implementation of projects participated by the Distribution Compliance Section (DCS); such as, Non-technical Loss Reduction project and others.

4. ROW (Right-of-Way) NEGOTIATION STAFF

Qualifications:

• Graduate of any engineering discipline
• With exposure and familiarity in Transmission and Distribution operations and line maintenance.
• Professional Driver’s License R12

Functions include:

• Negotiation with the property owners (ROW Easement)
• Facilitate Payment to affected lot / property / improvement owners
• Establish partnership/coordination with applicable government agencies

5. COMMUNITY RELATIONS SUPERVISOR

Qualifications:

• College graduate; any 4 year course
• At least 2 years’ experience in any public related functions.
• Possess the following knowledge and skills: Analytical Skills; Communication Skills; Driving skills; Computer literate; and customer oriented.

Functions include:

• Preparation of Information for Dissemination (Power Interruption Notices)
• Administration of Customer Survey Results
• To facilitate the resolution of the customer complaints
• Requires a liaison work with NGOs/GO/LGUs
• Assists the Dept. Head in Planning & Implementation of Community Projects.
• Coordination & administration to Company’s annual involvement in various community activities.
• General supervision of the secretarial services
• Attending to Official Company guests/visitors

6. TRANSMISSION & DISTRIBUTION LINE CLEARING INSPECTORS

Qualifications:

• College graduate; any 4 year course preferably Forestry graduates or with Electrical Technology background
• At least 2 years’ experience on any public related functions.
• Possess professional Driver’s License for a 4-whell vehicle and Computer literate

Functions include:

• Conduct field surveys to chart vegetation location
• Measure vegetation distance with respect to T & D lines
• Provide data to programmers for the development of a Map-based Vegetation Management program.

7. EQUIPMENT TECHNICIAN

Qualifications:

• Graduate in BS Electrical Engineering
• Professional Driver’s License R12
• Knowledge in electrical engineering theories/practices with emphasis on power equipment maintenance

Functions include:

• Conducts preventive maintenance, testing, calibration, repair & recording and/or monitoring of T&D equipment
• To ensure the reliability of T&D equipment installed in the system.
• Conducts required preventive maintenance, testing & repairs T&D facilities contracted by CEPALCO’s External Services Group.

8. GIS DOCUMENTATION STAFF

Qualifications:

• Graduate in BS Electrical Engineering
• Skill in AutoCAD

Functions include:

• Prepare documentations needed for the project
• Prepare and print maps for survey
• Analyze, verify, reconcile & encode data on distribution network facilities

9. MC MECHANIC

Qualifications:

• High school or Technology Graduate
• With Professional Driver’s License R12
• With experience in motorcycle repair

Functions include:

• Do the preventive maintenance and repair of company motorcycles and other related job which maybe assigned for expediency of service.
