Job Title: Accounting Head

Position Description:
The Accounting Head is responsible for all concerns in overseeing of accounting functions and financial reporting. This position will be responsible for daily, weekly and monthly accounting tasks and activities, maintaining accounting principles, practices and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting. The Accounting Head supervises all staffs in the department . This position must meet tight deadlines and multitude of accounting activities including financial statements and government remittance.

Job Qualifications
Educational Attainment:
A graduate of BA/BS in Accounting or finance or Business Management with an emphasis in Accounting required; CPA preferred.

Required Knowledge:
Must be PC proficient and experience with large automated accounting system a plus; must have strong experience with Microsoft Excel and Word. Interface with Synitar core processing or similar system required; strong verbal and written communication skills; strong interpersonal, supervisory and customer service skills required; ability to multi-task, work under pressure, meet deadlines and be able to thrive in a fast- paced work

Experience Required:
Five to seven years prior supervisory experience in the accounting/financial reporting areas. Experience working in a credit union or other consumer-oriented financial institution is required.
